About taxes

What taxes are included in All-in-one Premium, and how they’re handled

All vehicle taxes a bundled into the All-in-one Premium package, which includes:

  • Annual cantonal vehicle tax bill
  • Registration of your car
  • Cost of the licences plates
  • A vignette to use the Swiss motorways

Tax bills

The cantonal office will send the tax bills to your address as the vehicle is registered under your name, however gowago.ch will pay the invoices. It’s important that you forward the tax bill to us as soon as possible so that the payments can be made promptly.

Tax bills can be submitted online.

What happens if I have already paid the taxes?

Don’t worry, you can send us a refund request so we can reimburse you for payments already made.

Anyone who wants to use the highways of Switzerland must have a valid vignette attached to the windscreen of their car. We’ll send you a new one every year to replace the old one.

Swiss vignette is valid from 1st December of previous year until the 31st of January of the following year. For example the 2021 vignette is valid from 1st December of 2020 until the 31st of January 2022.

If you haven’t received a vignette, please contact our All-in-one customer service to all-in-one@gowago.ch or +41 43 588 25 15.

Who pays fines for parking, speeding, and other offences?

Whilst many in Switzerland might consider fines a tax for the roads, you will need to cover any fines you receive.
