What is an ICE-car?
ICE generally refers to a vehicle powered by an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), which operates on the principle of igniting a fuel-air mixture to create combustion and power.
ICE vehicles typically use petrol or diesel as fuel. This traditional form of automotive propulsion contrasts with electric vehicles (EVs), which use electric motors for propulsion, and hybrid vehicles, which combine an ICE with one or more electric motors.
ICE cars have been the standard in automotive technology for over a century, and have become incredibly efficient. They are known for their range and refuelling convenience, but they are also associated with higher emissions of greenhouse gases and pollutants compared to their electric and hybrid counterparts.
