Returning a car or keeping it at the end of a leasing contract
At the end of a leasing contract the car must either return the car in a good condition or you may be able to purchase it. If you want to keep the car at the end of your lease, please let us know as soon as possible.
Returning your car at the end of the lease
At the end of your lease, the car has to be returned in a good condition. As part of your All-in-one all costs are covered, but you must ensure that any repair, service, tyre change is done prior to the return. If you fail to do so before the return date, your All-in-one package will not cover the costs.
How to return your car
At the end of the leasing contract the car will be returned to gowago.ch, if you do not purchase it. We will arrange for Galliker AG to collect the car from your chosen location in Switzerland at a time that is convenient for you. Galliker AG will transport the car to an assessment centre where the condition of the vehicle is assessed.
The car must be returned in a good condition with no damages or scratches. Small paint damages such as dents with a diameter of less than 2 cm are not regarded as damage, but as normal wear-and-tear. The interior should also be clean and free of odours. In particular, smokers and/or animal owners should be particularly thorough here, in order to free the vehicle of traces of cigarette smoke, ashes or hair. Tyres must have a tread of at least 1.6 mm. All of the car’s documentation and keys must be provided.
You will be invoiced for any damage not considered to be normal wear-and-tear.
Where to return the car
An appointment will be made with you to collect the car from your home or a location of your choosing by Galliker AG acting on behalf of gowago.ch.
Keeping the car at the end of the lease
The value of the car at the end of the lease is the residual value. The residual value was determined at the time of the purchase of the car and is stated in the leasing agreement.
Extra charges
As part of the leasing contract, a mileage allowance was agreed to. If the total amount of kilometres was surpassed at the moment of the return you will have to pay a fee per extra kilometre. You can find the price chart in your leasing contract. If the condition of the car is not as expected, you’ll be responsible for the repairs and corresponding fees.
