# ZEK (Zentralstelle für Kreditinformation)

## What is ZEK?

ZEK, or "Zentralstelle für Kreditinformation" (Central Office for Credit Information) maintains a detailed database of individuals' credit-related activities.

Their database captures a wide spectrum of financial data, including credit card obligations, personal loans, leasing agreements, and comprehensive payment histories. ZEK offers a complete overview of an individual's financial history, helping financial institutions in assessing creditworthiness.

gowago.ch works together with ZEK in order to assess a customer’s financial eligibility for a lease to ensure there is no risk of the customer slipping into over-indebtedness.
