Breakdown on the road

In the unfortunate event that your car has a breakdown on the road, you’ll need to contact Baloise Insurance. Baloise will take care of any road assistance and towing to the nearest partner garage if needed.

In order to proceed with your request Baloise will need to identify your car. You just have to provide them with your car license plate number.

The cover includes the cost of on-site breakdown assistance, the towing of the car to the nearest garage, return travel to your home or overnight accommodation for all occupants if you are not able to return. If you have to continue your journey, the costs are covered to a certain extent as well.

If the car cannot be repaired the same day, your journey is organised with public transport (max. 1000 CHF per case) or by rental car of the same category as the insured vehicle (max. 5 days and 500 CHF per case).

Overnight accommodation

Overnight accommodation is covered if the return trip is no longer possible on the same day. Up to 150 CHF per occupant per night with a combined maximum of 1200 CHF.

Where can I get my car repaired?

In order to benefit from the reduced deductible, your car must be repaired by a Baloise partner.

Can I arrange the roadside assistance or towing service myself?

In order to benefit from the services included in the All-in-one insurance policy, Baloise must be contacted.

Roadside assistance carried out by a provider that is not partnered with Baloise will not be fully covered by the insurance policy. Baloise will pay up to CHF 300 for roadside assistance carried out by a provider they are not partnered with.

In the event that you’re asked to pay for services, please send your receipt to All-in-one customer services so we can issue a refund to you.

How much will I have to pay for roadside assistance?

Roadside assistance and towing to a suitable nearby garage is included in Switzerland and limited to CHF 500 when you are abroad.
